Going to a Male Doctor

Ever go to a male doctor and try to explain a problem, to which you receive a textbook answer with absolutely no empathy at all? It sucks, doesn't it? I, for one, am completely against going to a male doctor. That's not to say that I don't think that men are just as capable as women to assess someone's health - that's not it at all. What I'm saying is that since I am female, who could possibly relate to me more than another female? A man can listen to my complaints, read his medical encyclopedia, and tell me how to fix things... but a woman could potentially offer me a little more insight. For example, if I were to suffer from massive cramps whenever the monthly gift was drawing near, a male doctor could prescribe something to me, tell me to make sure to exercise a little bit more... etc. A female doctor might be able to tell me some personal ideas that she has come up with to relieve cramping. So many girls/women don't realize that avoiding dairy products will actually reduce cramps. Amazing!

I have to admit that I also don't like the idea of a man checking out my goodies. It's pretty uncomfortable having a woman do it, but getting some weird, miserable (or worse... happy) man doing the task down there.... No, really, no thanks. I'll pass on that one.
